About 3,000 members of the national force, a force of elite in Brazil comprising military policemen and firemen, are hosted in homes of social government programs that have not been delivered to people.
Elite policemen sent to Rio de Janeiro to reinforce the security of the Olympic games that begin in August reported that they work and live in substandard conditions.
“They are police officers who come from all over Brazil and warned about poor housing conditions, delay of payments of wages and hours, equivalent to slavery, superhuman. “E made an ultimatum to the authorities: conditions improve or we go”, told AFP Elisandro Lotin, President of the Anaspra, the Association that represents them.

The homes, located in the West zone of Rio, are empty, unfurnished, many have water filtration and sanitation problems.
“They have nothing, they are empty, they have no mattress, bed, sink, table, Chair. There are no installed water. Police officers had to buy their own things, used, in a sort of parallel market which was installed nearby. It is inadmissible to bring police officers from all over Brazil to work in Rio in an event of international magnitude and not give them minimum conditions of work”, olympics online streaming lamented Lotin.
The Government promised police that during the Mission in Rio would pay you 440 reals (US $ 136) per day, instead of the usual 220 (US $ 68). “But is not paying or 440, or 220, but less,” added.
There are also policemen who work up to 20 hours per day and then rest only 16 hours, reported the President of the Anaspra association representing soldiers, corporals, sergeants and second lieutenants of the military police.
The Anaspra leaders met Wednesday in Brasilia with the National Secretary of public security, Celso Perioli, to demand improvements.
Perioli promised to send mattresses and beds to social homes where agents are housed, and said that schedules will improve with the arrival of other 3,000 agents to Rio in the next few days.
A total of 85,000 police and military will be in charge of the security of the Olympic Games which take place from 5 to August 21 in Rio de Janeiro, twice that of London-2012.
